Welcome to the website of the Western Isles Scottish Socialist party.
We are strongest on Lewis but have made a start in expanding southwards.
We will take England over in 2005.
We now have members on Harris. in the Uists and on Barra. Socialists in the Uists, Benbecula and Barra, are seperated from us by the Sound of Harris.
The Western Isles SSP is as much concerned about issues at the far south of this archipellago, as we are about issues in the north. Our aim is to build a family of branches which are linked together within the constituency. I sincerely hope that this website might help to acheive that aim. |

A quarter of boiled sweets

A place to buy all those long lost sweets, sold by mail order over the net this site sells all forms of sweets by the quarter. If we have grown up, so have the weights, as the sweets are sold by the quarter of a Killogram (fractions in metric?). But it does mean that the bags are bigger.
We are an old-fashioned sweetshop where you will find your favourite sweets-in many cases the sweets that you thought they had stopped making.
From flying saucers to rhubarb and custard,shrimps and sweet tobacco to anglo bubbly bubble gum,bassetti to space dust-you will find them all at A Quarter Of... and many,many more.
